Mikey G, notorious for his hard-hitting, unique sets, is a DJ from Birmingham, now living in Leicester, UK. Mikey grew up listening to a wide variety of dance music and was heavily influenced by the bass heavy music being played around the midlands. He gained a huge interest in Drum & Bass, Garage and Speed Garage. Having been to hundreds of dance events, he decided to learn to DJ himself and began honing his skills, and was soon booked to play at local club nights. He started playing at various Drum & Bass events around the UK and supported numerous big name DJ’s across the scene. He became interested in ‘Jackin House’ and ‘House & Bass’, new styles of music giving a fresh twist on the Garage tunes he grew up listening to. He began DJ’ing at events regularly across the Midlands and as his popularity grew, so did his busy Dj’ing schedule - which is now frequently jam-packed, playing for many various club nights in the House and D&B scene. In August 2015 Mikey was asked to play at the closing party at Summerfest, a world leading skydive event in Chicago USA. After delivering a 6hr non-stop marathon set, he didn't disappoint! Mikey regularly posts live mixes on his Soundcloud page which have gained a large world-wide audience and are eagerly anticipated by many. Exit Point's passion for the music began in the early 90s, a fan of the Madchester sound of The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays, from here, his musical tastes shifted to the underground Rave sounds of the mid 90's after being introduced to a mixtape by a friend. This led to Exit becoming an avid listener of the local pirate stations, Mix FM, Fresh FM (Leicester) & Kool FM (Birmingham).This keenness further led Exit to take up DJ'ing, initially with a pair of Soundlab belt drives & a Numark mixer. Exit got into the Jungle sound in 1994 and would buy his vinyl from the legendary 5HQ shop in Leicester.

Everything a true Dj and Producer could want...plus everything else i want! List is forever growing, and ever endless! everything drum and bass wise; tech, neuro, jungle, liquid, rollerz, dancefloor, jump up, random shit, 140bpm killers, abit of house, trance, hard house for the random ones…anything i dont have and cant get on vinyl is now downloaded (shame, but traktor soon come!) Self made Dj and Producer...INTENCITY... was well into all urban and electronic music from the early age aswell as other genres, being brought up around a lot of musical influences throughout his youth; everything from rock and roll, the classics to old school garage, dance and hip hop to start with, leading onto hardcore, trance, the the most important jungle and drum and bass! This then lead to him having an interest predominately in Dj'ing (vinyl) Drum and Bass and he finally got his hands on the decks at the age of 17. This then obviously progressed to going out raving, and getting more involved with the Drum and Bass scene, getting more addicted by the day! Progressing even further with his techniques in Dj'ing in Drum and Bass (aswell as trying other genres for fun), spending endless late nights with vinyl and turntable the world of DnB was at his hands. Now involved with the raving culture, his ambitions and ideas started growing stronger and more passionate everyday. More or less straight the way, he started to get some bookings through mates with interests in Drum and Bass...Intencity was now well under way into his career as a Drum and bass Dj. Following up all this; having now got more musical equipment, vinyl, artist/genre/scene knowledge and talent, he now decided to take the leap into production and took up a music production course (the creative music producer) age 19, at Abbey park College in Leicester and went onto gaining his level 2 diploma. Fast forward, although Dj'ing is the latter part of his musical time, he is still studying production working on making those lovely Drum and Bass sounds before releasing them to the world... Practicing to perfection, absorbing all the information and support around him to get to that level in making music! He has now been playing out live at big and small events for over 5yrs all over the Midlands, he is getting a very good reputation holding down consistent residencies with Leicester's biggest Drum and bass nights, aswell as supporting other local nights in around the area and also finding bookings further astray, aswell as trying his own night a few years back 'Subsonik', hosting a 600 capacity club and smashing it! He now also plays out live and records mixing on 3 vinyl decks as standard, making room for more danger on the dance floor!! The events he has played on so far have included massive names such as: Nicky Blackmarket, Fatman D, Drumsound and Bassline Smith, Total Recall and Dialogue, Dj Guv, Majistrate, Fearless, Alpha, Turno, Dominator, Danny Byrd, Logan D, Evil B, Blu Bomma, APB, Friction, Dj sly, Brockie, Pleasure, Hazard, Grooverider, Empathy, Harry Shotta, Bassman, Trigga, Shabba D, Ragga Twins, Chase and Status, Det, Toddlah, Eksman, Foxy, Propz and Rowney, Raz, Herbsie supreme being...Big labels and promoters such as hospitality records, shogun audio, low down records, subway sounds, higher stakes, playaz, radius records, Biological beats, Image recordings, technique recordings, subway sounds, sweet tooth, G13...to name a few! Intencity is progressively working his way up the ladder in the Drum and Bass industry, with a long way to climb still, but is definetly a name to watch out for in the future as he has a lot more to offer, more than most people know at the moment.
